Who We Are

Biofeedback/Neurofeedback

Geoff is BCIA certified in Neurofeedback, which is a form of Biofeedback where individuals adjust their brainwaves to address various conditions.  The BCIA is the internationally recognized organization providing certification to biofeedback practitioners.  For additional information, visit http://www.bcia.org

Geoff has worked with several clients using Biofeedback to assist them in independently managing self-regulation.  Biofeedback is defined as:

Biofeedback is a process that enables an individual to learn how to change physiological activity for the purposes of improving health and performance. Precise instruments measure physiological activity such as brainwaves, heart function, breathing, muscle activity, and skin temperature. These instruments rapidly and accurately "feed back" information to the user. The presentation of this information — often in conjunction with changes in thinking, emotions, and behavior — supports desired physiological changes. Over time, these changes can endure without continued use of an instrument.

    Approved May 18, 2008 by:
Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB)
Biofeedback Certification Institution of America (BCIA)
International Society for Neurofeedback and Research (ISNR)

Through the use of Biofeedback, specifically heart rate coherence/variability, breath control and skin temperature, Geoff has been successful in facilitating the training of both children and adults to address various issues such as anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, etc.
